Delete your Laracake account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Laracake account and the personal data associated with it. It applies to the Laracake mobile application and the Laracake website, published by Laracake.

How to request deletion

1. Send an email to laracake22@gmail.com from the email address registered on your account.
2. Use the subject line “Account deletion request”.
3. In the message, include the phone number you use to sign in, so we can identify your account.
4. We will reply to confirm your identity, then delete your account. The deletion is completed within 30 days of your request.

Deleting your account is permanent. You will lose access to your order history and you will need to create a new account to use Laracake again.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

• Your account information — name, phone number, email address and password.
• Your profile photo or avatar.
• Your saved delivery addresses and wilaya.
• Your saved cake designs, favourites and cart contents.
• Any photos or images you uploaded with an order.
• Your device push-notification tokens.
• Reviews and ratings you left, or the personal identifiers attached to them.

What data is kept, and for how long

We are required to keep a limited set of records after your account is deleted. These are kept for accounting, tax, warranty and dispute purposes only, and are not used to contact you or to build a profile of you:

• Order and payment records — kept for up to 10 years, the retention period required by applicable accounting and tax law. Where possible these records are anonymised, so they no longer identify you.
• Fraud and abuse records — where an account was suspended or a payment was disputed, minimal records are kept for up to 2 years to protect the Service and partner bakeries.
• Backups — residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days after deletion, after which they are overwritten.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You can view and edit your name, email, phone, avatar, wilaya and address at any time from the profile screen in the app. If you want us to delete specific data without closing your account, email laracake22@gmail.com describing what you would like removed.
